Urgent - Blew my motor, where can I find an 03-05 engine?
Hey guys,
So I blew my engine at a track day two weeks ago. I msgd mancyk86 on the forum last week for his F22c and he said it was available, but since then apparently a friend of his brother's got dibs and I'm left with nothing.
I've been renting a car for the past two weeks just to get to work while my car's sitting with a blown motor. I don't know what shops are reputable around here or where to get an engine, so I'm asking for you guys to please help me out if you can:
If you know anyone with an 03-05 motor for sale, please let me know. Or, if you know which shops / recyclers will sell these engines and are known to be reputable.
Specifically, I am looking for either an 03 F20c engine, or an 04-05 F22c engine + tranny if possible.
Thanks for helping me out, I just moved out here from Vancouver recently and I don't know where to turn to for this.
Thanks,
Sonca

Not entirely certain what caused it, as the oil was low but not *that* low. I either spun a bearing from a mechanical over rev (if it was this, it was pretty minor), or the pickup just wasn't submerged enough to get oil through a corner.
Should've checked my oil more often, just thought it would be okay since my last oil change was only three weeks prior.

Anyone know how much it'll usually cost to get the head off to inspect for damage? If it turns out the head's still okay it'd be great if I could just buy myflys2k's block off him.
Esp since I'm in Waterloo and it'd be relatively easy for me to pick that up haha.
