There is a car show in Reno, Nevada with the name Hot August Nights and I own an event "24 Hours at Albion: Hot August Nights".

I have a bicycle race called "24 Hours at Albion: Hot August Nights". They believe my corporation is in conflict with their registered trademark and they've asked me to cease and desist.

They think people are confusing the events and I may get sponsorship or recognition because of their event. I run a bicycle race in Ontario, Canada, while they run a car show in Reno, Nevada. Where is the confusion?

Too many lawyers in the US and North America picking stupid little fights like this, wasting their client's money and resources.

We are required by law to make the distinction that this one is less homosexual than the homosexual car show in Las Vegas. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Actually I will probably find a bicycle racer/lawyer who will help me out with heavily reduced fees if this ever goes to court.

Clayton Ruby would win, but he would also bankrupt me in the process.....
