well it's done... I have to say that i'm pretty pissed off.
because I didn't do this sooner!
Holy poop does it sound amazing. It's exactly what I wanted, quiet in normal driving, loud going full throttle. I wish it was a bit louder in the cabin, because when I open my door and rev it, it sounds really good. 1 and 3/4 inch piping. I was hoping for just the normal 1.7inch piping, but I don't think the extra 0.05 inches made a difference.

Where are you guys getting your UK mods done? Just started looking into this... Doesn't look too difficult for any muffler shop to weld but just wondering if there's any one in particular that's familiar doing it

I was making them, but am taking a break.
If you do find a place, make sure they are using SS tubing and are TIG welding with an Argon gas flush while welding.
Otherwise, you run the very real risk of the welds cracking from carbon precipitation in the heat affected zone.
