Motor rebuild resuming! Need to paint a portion of the bay, install new engine harness and finish this engine. Should be done in a couple of weeks but realistically a month or so by taking my time. Going to bring my head in to get flow tested in the meantime. Ah plastigauge. Measured .0015 clearance with this stuff, and .001-.0012 with micrometers.

i trust my micrometers and dial gauges 100%.

There is a certain amount of inaccuracy that I’m just not happy solely with plastigauge. Plastigauge is a final sanity check and should only be used as such. As two data points knowing a clearance .0007-.0015” with a .002” service limit I’m happy.
