Saw a few people who have a strip of LEDs on top of the wind deflector

 

It would be pretty simple to wire something up. There's lots of options. I used a flexible stick-on LED light for the tail lights/brake light/turn signals on a custom scooter project that I've been working on. It's pretty bright. At least bright enough that I thought it would prevent me from getting run over.
