Hey Folks
Mike and I decided last fall that the salamander would be our final event in which we took any functional role. We've been doing this for three years now. Some ups, some downs some really fantastic times meeting some great folks Regardless of our bitching we've had a good time.
That said, we're officially off of role as of the 17th of July. Its over for us now. We both hope that some committed individuals will rise up and take a guiding role in the group, we need fresh ideas and fresh faces who haven't been given a chance in the past to provide input.
Thanks go out to everyone who has shown up time and again and helped us out when we needed; people behind the scenes and active on the day's of.
We're not going anywhere of course, we're just not going to be involved in planning any events
It'll be nice to just show up at something!
Have a great rest of the summer and we'll see you around.

Vince and Mike, congrats. People may bitch and complain and not agree with what you have done or even hold a grudge because they do not agree with your actions, but I know as a CO you are always stuck in the middle; you just can't please all the people all the time and last time I checked nobody was perfect. I have many many years of volunteer experience and it is amazing how people forget we are just trying to do our best...
All of Toronto, someone or even some people need to volunteer for the CO position. Let there be no confusion, this is NOT a position you vote people into, it is a position people grow into. If you vote you can do nothing more than hope the person will do the job, when in reality the job goes to the person or people who just take the initiative on their own accord. With a group as big as TO I suspect two people are needed and this might help to make the task easier.
And let me just say, someone damn well better plan out a Moose Run for this fall, and don't even think about asking me...

I agree.
You guys have done a fantastic job and the forum just isn't going to be the same without your level of commitment. Hopfully a few people will step up to fill your shoes...
Dougs right, there better be a Moose Run for the fall. For that matter, we really need to do more drives in general...
