It's not necesarily BAD for the engine, but it won't like it much. Kinda like bouncing off the rev-limiter - there's not as much fuel in the mixture so the engine shutters as bit. Not BAD but not great...

if you want sound and performance... take off the air box.. and filter... put a pantyhose before the TB...
you get maximum airflow with "filtering" that way... trust me... you will love the sound of it...
then sell your car next year... LOL
