if that's driver rear, it's rubbing.

no alignment will help.

both my S2000's rubbed under severe circumstances with stock ride height.

doug, with all your track days on stock suspension, i'm surprised that you haven't encountered it yet.

usully occurs on steep(er) banked on/off ramps - the banking in and of itself provides more grip than a flat(ter) surface, but the suspension can't keep up.

basically the car wants to grip, not slide, the outside gets severly loaded and this is what you get.

whoever has my old stock S-02's can confirm this....i think james has them.

If that really is rubbing and the car has had no autox events or driving schools I think it is a major problem, and one that needs an immediate fix! I would not accept this as normal or acceptable!

Nimesh, never a rub, not on the Kart track doing autox events or at Watkins Glen. I ran the first school on stock wheels and stock S-02s and now I run stock wheels and RA-1s in 205/55-16 and 245/45-16. Did you have the rub after you changed shocks and springs (you did change springs right?)?

Well get out there and look, and report back to us!

Take a big flashlight with ya, even if it is daylight. Get down and look at the inside of the fender. If it is rub YOU WILL see evidence of it, if not just tire rubber then the black inner trim strip will be scuffed up big time.

It would be damn funny (sorry Qik, but it would be funny; is a sad sort of way) if the spring spacers will still in the car and they were causing the strange clearance issue... and if they were there, no way in hell I would not insist on new tires...

neither of my stock wheels rubbed with aftermarket suspension bits.

on stock suspension, it was always circumstance dependent - it wasn't random.

on a flat(ter) surface, the car will break loose...not so on a banked surface. always driver rear, never right rear.

doug, currently, i have full coilovers.

honda can't fix this....it's driver induced. the springs are fine within a certain tolerance.....every car's suspension will eventually bottom out (this is effectively what's happening).

of course, the stock aligment may not be helping....the more neg. camber, the less chance of rubbing.

jarek, take the yonge st. off-ramp from the 407 westbound at 120-140.

i GUARANTEE you'll rub the left rear.

I still can't believe I could rub with stock height/suspension... time for some negative camber then.

I too find this shocking!

Ya know, when they hook the car up to the alignment machine all they have to do is push a button or two and it will print out the alignment settings on the car. If it was my car I would want to know what the settings were, BEFORE they go and tweak it. And obviously after they tweak it so you know what you ended up with...
