Somewhere the FIA has lost what the words "save money" really means .
I agree that the tire manufacturers are spending a ton of $ all to "save" F1 money . But that's another discussion....
So what the FIA should have done is introduce the control tire before Michelin came into the picture. If they truly wanted to take the tires out of the equation for equalizing the cars - give them all 1 tire compound.

If the FIA had done that before Michelin came into the picture, you'd be complaining that they were stifling Ferrari since Ferrari had already developed their car around the tire.

Oh come on now....
I can take being beaten fair and square....hey I had to live with it for many years! I have just had a good run the last few years. I knew it would end at some point in time - I just never thought it would end like this.
I think the other teams would have caught up in the next year or so, at the end of last season, McLaren were already doing better.....
