ok, i just tried loading the stream URL directly into quicktime. at least i can see errors this way.

sure enough it looked like it started buffering, then at the end quicktime said "Timeout Out". Ahh ha!!! Connectivity problems... prolly not the .mov file itself

next i ran an nslookup to get the IP Address, then a trace route to see what's up with the connection to the server. what do i get, "request timed out".

here is the tracert info. maybe a tech can look at it for you Al. They should understand it. it's dying somewhere in michigan (at the university maybe???). at any rate, the "hops" followed can be different for other people. meaning that yea, some people may have no problem streaming the file.

They (the powers that be at the college) said that they will look into it, and hopefully I'll be heard round the world when I have my next show in two weeks. No school next week because of Thanksgiving...
