Like I said, I don't understand Colleen's thinking on this....our whole family: Colleen, me, Rory, Livia, and the baby don't go anywhere together except maybe once or twice a year, and that's only 80 miles up the road for family get-togethers.

what's the ride like?

german-ish or japanese-ish?

either my post disappeared or im loosing it and never posted this.. in any case, why don't you just rent a minivan for those very trips you do? Every one will be comfortable for those couple days and you don't have to justify buying a new vehicle which you don't need the other 363 days per year.

:yikes: Al, what the hell has gotten into you?

I always thought of you as a nice guy, but anybody who fails to include the someone like Star in the family circle is just plain mean. I'm ashamed of you.
:p :stick: :p

:egads: Doug, I was not thinking clearly, but with all of us in a car STARR! would have to stay at home. BTW she's up over 90# now.

Germanish, but not as connected / lacking in pure road feedback.
Solid, like you'd expect from Volvo.
On the highway, a dream, with plenty of torque/accel to blow by 99% of cars effortlesly with the slightest squeeze of the throttle.
Possibly too much money for the poster of this thread.

I've always had a soft spot for those Volvo wagons

Colleen's thought about Volvo's and we could get a deal, Ford employee price, because of her working at the University. If we looked seriously into it it will be a ugh sedan ugh.....the S60 looks about right and the kids would just have to live a little crowded in the back if they don't feel like driving themselves, or they could choose not to go.
