TAXES!! on my new S2k :(
Hey Guys, I just went to the dealers on saturday and signed my deal for a s2k. $2300 off MSRP. Came to total about $55000 Did I do okay? Well, what really bites is that, 10min after I posted on the S2000 GEneral thread, some guy from Alberta told me that he got his for $52000, boy I thought that was an Amazing deal, the guy must have got 5000 under MSRP, that would mean he got it undercost. Then I soon realize that I have to pay that extra 8% tax in Ontario. What a bummer! Now I am just awaiting for my car, it's a Suzuka blue baby ^^; .
Oh, just a side note, I notice a black and a yellow s2000 downtown st.george campus, just wondering if it is someone's on the forum ^^.

Just think I paid MSRP 2.5 years ago.
if it makes you feel any better, the extra money will be forgotten, while the smile on your face remains
if I recall correctly, the profit on the S2K was $5700

I think you did well.
BTW...do you think a couple of extra hundred would have changed your mind? I know I would have paid it. I know you always want to try and get it for the cheapest possible and there that is normal...but trust me wait until you drive it...the extra 2 or 3 hundred will be forgotten quicker than you can reach 9K RPM (after breakin of course )!

That's RUDE! 52500, u must be the new negotiator in town ^^; I tried a few before I settle down for mine, some wouldn't go any lower then $1000 under MSRP. hee hee
Well I hope I'll like the car, cause I haven't even test driven one. hee.

So, you're telling me that the dealer only made $39 plus tax on the car? Something doesn't seem right - are you sure they gave you a new car?
