A Tank Of Gas
How much does everyone get? Not a place to be a critic on our aggresive driving styles
I got 410 km on my last tank of 94 octane. Lasted 6 days.

Got about 500km top down, all hwy up to dorset, but took sweet twisty back roads home. Shell Vpower. I think its the only 91 octane that contains no ethanol. I get a little better range on the Vpower then 94.

Lately I've been getting pretty good gas mileage, I'm getting around 400-430~ km with 70% city / 30% highway. This is a pretty good improvement from the winter time where I was getting at the most 300-320 km
Forgot to mention, I only fill up with Shell V-Power, sometimes I will fill up with 94 octane from Sunoco/Petro Canada if I'm in fear of running out of gas and there is no Shell station nearby.

Do you guys feel that Shell is better for our cars because it has no ethanol or because you think it makes the car more fun to drive?
I get Sunoco simply because I atleast can collect Lots of points.

To be honest, I've tried both 94 octane from Suncor (Petro Canada/Sunoco) , and Shell V-Power and I have never noticed a difference in power/driving. In my honest opinion, I would say even if there is a small performance gain, it isn't worth the extra few dollars to fill up a tank. Perhaps if you were tracking your car then do it, but I don't see why you would since most tracks have race fuel available and I would imagine race fuel would provide even greater performance gains as far as fuel goes.
Another reason why I fill up at Shell is simply because it doesn't contain ethanol (that extra 10 times Air Miles is nice too!). My main concern with filling up Suncor 94 is the fact that ethanol has a tendency to absorb moisture. I'm sure we all know that moisture in your gas tank = bad. I understand that our fuel system is a closed system and that moisture should not be getting into the fuel tank. But the way I see it, whenever you open up that gas cap and reach for the pump air can get in and in that air is a percentage amount of moisture. Perhaps a negligible amount but I still like having that extra piece of mind when filling up.
In addition to the above, ethanol has also proven to provide worse fuel economy. I believe fuel economy suffers a 2% decrease. To some this may seem negligible, but on average in this thread people are averaging 457 km/tank. 2% would be roughly 9km. That means for every tank of fuel, you will be losing 9km. The only disadvantages that I know of from using non-ethanol enriched gasoline are environmental concerns regarding emissions. If you compare the emissions from ethanol-enriched gasoline to non-ethanol those numbers really aren't too much of a concern.
So in the end, at least in my opinion it is more worth it to fill up with Shell V-Power than Suncor 94 which costs more, has a chance to screw up your fuel system and lastly provides worse gas mileage.
