You should DEFINITELY take a track school, there are a few, the Saab one, Ian Law Racing.. No matter how good of a driver you think you are, things are a little different on the track at 160km/hr.

Definitely find a school in your area. Instructors and ride alongs will show how much there is to learn.

If you just show up at a lapping day, you really don't know what kind of idiots or how competitive the people will be. Go with a club or people you trust.

Things to know/do to prepare for a track day.
- You will probably want or require a Snell rated helmet (later date the better).
- Make sure you brakes are in good working order.
- Bring a box to put all your stuff when you're on track. You want to totally empty the car so stuff doesn't fly around.
- Bring some extra motor oil. You might need to top off after.
- Bring tire pressure guage and pump. Depending on your tires you will want to adjust your tire pressures.
- Do not use the parking brake after a lapping session. The rotors can warp if they don't cool evenly.
- Do a warm up lap to get the tires sticky before starting to push it.
- Do a cool down lap before pitting to allow the brakes and engine to cool before stopping.
- Slowly get up to speed, don't drive beyond your limits. Work on the driving line and being smooth instead of "putting power down".

There is an all female saab school sat July 31st that you should sign up for!! They usually have a hard time filling it up so spread the word. Usually they open it up to a small group of guys a few weeks prior so they don't lose $$ so I may be there.
