Super low Mileage Ap1's (GPW & NFR)
Hi Guys,
For anyone who's in the market for super low mileage AP1's, there's actually two on Kijiji this morning from the same stealership in Oakville. Prices are astronomical but I was surprised to see that there are two and with equal mileage. Would it be fair to assume these were auction vehicles? I find it it hard to believe they would get two tradeins at the sametime for almost the exact same product. Anwyas, for anyone who's in the market, have a look. Then attempt to negotiate the price down about a third LOL.
Anyways, nice to see ultra low mileage vintage still out there.

Not sure if i'm allowed to post sales links as I'm not trying to endorse the sale of these cars but since you asked, there they are.

Will be selling my ap2 with 28k in the spring, and just doing a bit of research.
Do these cars actually sell for that price or are these people bonkers?
What's a more reasonable price point?

Bonkers would be my guess but again, these are being sold at the same dealership in Oakville. Likely there is negotiation room but still. I'd say the going rate for an early AP1 in mint condition (assuming these are) with only 30K kms would be more like $17K maybe $18K for the GPW (even though I personally don't feel GPW).

Funny thing is, exceptionally low mileage AP1's (even early AP1's) go for the same amount in the US as they do here which is strange considering all other S2K's are genrally cheaper there.

I think when buying an S2000 a lot of people think you can pick them up for the same depreciation rates as a civic. This is just not the case. That price seems reasonable to me considering it is coming from a dealership and not private sale and the mileage of the vehicle being so low.
The S2000's were made in short quantity compared to other production cars and because of it, the market value is a lot higher than the book value of the vehicle. Something to keep in mind when purchasing locally...

If they are mint with og panels and the mileage is accurate, I think price is only a little bit high.
Like really... where else are you going to find a mint ap1 with that little mileage for under 20k?
Someone will pay asking price. Someone who doesn't want to buy a modified car from a teenager (again, assuming these cars are mint).
Just my .02, and what do I know though...
