look if you guys want more power, go tubo! If you want more torque, get a stroker kit! If you want stupid torque and power, get a 2JZ swap! some of you guys seem to forget what makes the S2000 motor so great. Its not just the fact that it makes more hp/litre than any other production NA motor in the world but its also a motor that revs to 9k from the factory and its probebly the best flowing production head you can get an a car. why would you bother with an SR swap? makes not sense unless you're trying to win a best custom award at a show. Honda has given blessed us with one of the best roadsters to date, why mess with a great thing unless you're going all out? right?

I'm with you on that.

There are other applications, ie you find a written off s2000 shell and want to make a quarter mile car as cheap as possible.

Maybe you're on a very tight budget.

But High strung motor is where it's at. that's most of it's appeal and it's certainly not the torque.

Well I am not that brand loyal - Canon or Nikon / Honda or Nissan or Toyota/ Kawa or Yamaha doesnt really interest me. What does interest me though is affordable performance and reliability sans annoying CELs. something you can beat on all day and if it breaks, you can replace it and affordably. Mind you I love my car but if a SR20DET will give that affordable and reliable power increase then why not?
