Wow, this interests me big time. From what I have seen and heard the SR20DET is a powerful and reliable motor. Plus they are much cheaper to beat on than the FC. I wouldnt mind the extra Torque either. Anybody else?

I've had a friend that rebuilt his SR20DET more then I can count on one hand. Seems like a lot of work considering you could slap on a turbo for a few g's. o.0

Wow thats sick. Forget about V8 or 2JZ swaps. A hopped up SR20 would be insane in our car. The mechanical part of the install would be no problem. But i can't help but feel that the electrical portion would be a bloody nightmare

Nice swap, but I wouldn't do it on a S2000. Maybe if I had 2nd Gen RX7 (i.e a really old car)

My friend did the 240 SR20DET swap and he had reliability issues. The engine never blew up or anything (despite a lot of boost)

Mind you he also did V mount cooler and did the swap himself (first engine swap).
But man... was it fun to drive! Such a beast!

sweet.

and yes, that motor is probably one of the most stout JDM ones you can get. great power on even stock internals, loves to breathe.

The whole thing behind the S2k is the incredible engine...this is sacrilege!
Cool idea, but not on the S.

guess you missed this issue dom:

there is no way i'd put an sr20 into an s2k. to start the wiring would be a pain (damn i hate wiring). secondly, the exhaust comes down the wrong side of the engine.
