Default Speeding ticket question

Does anybody know if the courts inform insurance companies about speeding tickets? They have the e test and insurance linked when you go to renew, not sure if this is linked now too?

No, they only find out when you have to renew your insurance IF they do a drivers abstract scan.

I don't know how it is done but your insurance does find out about your tickets, you are supposed to tell them of any infractions prior to renewal, but they have a way of checking too.

why would I tell them I have a speeding ticket? They can pull my drivers abstract if they want to know that badly

They can actually periodically check your abstract which most are doing these days.

Remember they're out to screw you. Max profit

Check your contract. As far as I know, you're obligated to inform them. Might screw you into getting your policy cancelled which sets you up for a lot of shit in getting a new one.

After all.... the biggest, nicest, most expensive office buildings in every town across our nation is either an insurance company, or a bank.

while we're on the topic of speeding tickets, who has the record for most tickets in a year?

I got 4 last summer.

One was for genuinely being an asshat, but for the other 3, I was going the same speed as everyone else, but got picked off because I'm driving a "dangerous" sportscar that's going to kill everyone's child if I go 15 over the limit in a country backroad with no houses, yet people drive rusty $#!+ boxes that are ready to bust an axle at any second and go veering off the highway, or lifted pickup trucks that can decapitate someone in a collision, or people running on summer tires in 3 feet of snow because they think AWD means that they don't need winter tires.
I guess those aren't as dangerous as a meticulously maintained car which is more than capable of avoiding unpredictable situations, because I hardly ever hear about people getting pulled over for those issues.
so sure, pull me over for doing a little over the limit with everybody near me going just as fast in good weather because you're a dick and didn't get to enjoy your youth so you're going to take it out on me.

yes I'm still sour.

I got three tickets all at once in 2013. Went to court and fought them all off though.

Got pulled over for my exhaust. Forgot my wallet at home which had my license and my new insurance pink slip (literally the day after I got my new slip)

Ended up going to court with my documentation and told them I bought a new exhaust, guy gave me a funny look asking me for a receipt, told him he can come out and listen for an improper muffler and let me go.
