Did it affect your insurance?

I've recieved about 5 tickets like this, the "nice police" reduced speeding to 10~15 with no points.

I just paid the fines and the insurance didn't raise at all.

Any ticket will affect your insurance rates, although depending on which group you are in, most insurance companies give you a 1-2 tickets grace.

Write the test! You never know what may happen down the line, you could get another then you'll be screwed with 2 tickets. Speeding infractions are on your record for 3 years.

Good Luck!

I don't know how this works, but I recall that I got 4 tickets in half year about 3 years ago. I paid the fines since there were no points taken from 10~15 speedings.

About a year after that, I even claimed insurance to recover roughly about 1000 repair fee from a hit and run. My rate has been going downhill slowly...compare to alot of the other friends insurance rate per year, mine's still the lowest!

Jay, if you have money just write the test. I for one also don't know that you could write a test to wipe out the ticket...

It's only offered in some towns. The courts are just way too busy in TO to have such an option.

It's all a money maker. Ya my stupidity for getting caught but what can you do.

I'm not sure what to do. I think I'll just pay the fine since there's no points involved.

Maybe I should just mail it in for a court date.

That would be my choice if my Engrish is better...Play guilty with a reason...

Many of my friends had done that and one of them even went to the court fought a 3 point ticket by himself....got the points off and only had to pay the fines.
