Speed Compared with an M3
Was turning onto Leslie from 16th when I noticed a silver convertible E46 M3 turn behind me. I gave it to get around the slowpoke in front of me and noticed the M3 follow suit. We approached a redlight with a car in the left lane and an 18-wheel pulling up to be first in the right lane. Well I got in front of the truck and saw the M3 gun it to get behind me and in front of the truck.
Light goes green and I roll out then take off. I hit 100kph and slow down because the M3 didn't follow. Then all of a sudden he decides to pull a ricer fly-by on me and flies by me at about 140kph. And I mean he FLEW by me. The damn thing sounded like a fighter jet, it was amazing!
I catch up to him at the next lights to see he's turning right. I follow and tail him but he was getting on the highway and I had to get back to work. The car was silver with skirt package in the rear around an aftermarket exhaust. He also had a Dinan sticker on the trunklid. Driven by a white guy in his upper 30's.
Sweet car I wonder what he's got done to it. Anyways, thought you guys would enjoy more than the Camaro boys.

Sorry Rob, I'd have to say the opposite.
(Now you mean the SL55 right?) sounds like its just lumbering along. At least the M3 sounds like there some effort there.
Or wait, you mean the new SLK55? when did you hear that thing? Didn't think they were even in the country yet. My cuz flew to Spain to drive it.

Hey 1badride,
I've only started logging on here recently but would be interested in coming to a local meet.
I'm located in R.H. but am frequently in Markham as that's where my parents live and my buddy who just picked up an S2K.
What are you driving?
