From what I can remember from high school biology, nature has its own balancing system within the animal kingdom. Based on the direct relationship between the total number of male and the total number of female species within a group, the chances of producing a male or female offspring can be altered.
For example, if a group of animals has 10 males and 1 female - the female will have sex more often. This changes the PH balance within the female's body and increases the possibility of producing a female offspring.
Conversely, if a group of animals has 1 male and 10 females - each female will have sex less often. This changes the PH balance within the female's body the opposite way and increases the possibility of producing a male offspring.
So my guess is Fred and his wife will either have a camera or a car.
