I need HD PVR, find me something that does that and I'm sold.

I guess I could dump Vista Extreme on my existing MediaPC and upgrade the capture card but I don't think it'll work still.

Ron, I hooked the MBP up to my tv and used the media remote...its killer.

the imac comes with speakers, camera and more goodies. by the time you add those things to your mini setup you are pretty much as par. The iMac monitor is much nicer than the Dell IMO but aside from that I highly recommend the iMac over the mini. The Dell does have the media card reader though...

so mr. mac guru....

question... I want a computer/tv for my new kitchen. Should i get a 24" imac or a mac mini and a 24" dell monitor and save about $500 bux or more? (also, which TV tuner should i get? one with a ATSC HTDV tuner would be prefered)

Last time I was looking there were no HDTV tuners cards with PVR abilities in HD because there were concerns about piracy when the public has the ability to record perfect digital audio and video.

Guess that's changed...
