That truck would be perfect if it had the diesel option..

You are not alone in that thought, rumor is Nissan is working on just such an engine. It makes sense to me, if they had that engine option they would sell even more of these things just as they are.

For me though I prefer the gas, it is way easier for me to get around here, and with 379 ft-lbs of torque I think I'll still have plenty of grunt to pull the S2000 up hills...

I still think Jason's reaction on Saturday night was great
"Holy shit, did you see the size of that drive shaft? It's as big as a paint can!"

Hmmm, 300 above cost? Does that go for other Nissans and Infinitis as well?

PS when does the new Xterra go on sale?

If you had 560 lbs like me, you could tow the S and the CRX.. and a trailer.. and something else..

Btw, do the Nissan's have a 5spd auto tranny? I love my 5spd Torqshift with the tow/haul mode.

Hey Qik, what do you have that has a 5spd Torqshift with the tow/haul mode?

Yes, the Nissan has a 5-speed manual shift auto tranny, and it too has a tow mode setting that is activated by a push of a button.

If I got a trailer long enough with a 9,500 lb tow rating I could pull the CRX-Si, the S2000 and the Nighthawk 650 all at the same time.

I've got the 04 F250 6.0 diesel.. 5spd auto tranny and the tow/haul mode is amazing, the computer is very smart holding gears, downshifting and keeping the torque converter locked while driving down or uphill.

That's just a wee bit more truck than I need, that's for sure.

With Nissan bringing a similar tranny to their regular full size truck I wonder how long it will be before Ford offers a 5-speed auto in the F-150???

I test drove the '04 F-150 FX4, it was a nice truck, but I kept coming back to the Nissan because of the 5-speed manual shift automatic and the ingress/egress. For me the Nissan was way easier to get in and out of and it had plenty of ground clearance.
