Shady PPL On The Forums (For Sale Posting)
I recently contact a seller on the item he/she was selling on the board. Stating we were serious buyer and was interested in buying. Didn't want to waste his/her time also same on our side. After 2 weeks of contacting (negotiating) came to an aggreement. We were lead to believe that we were going to get a chance to do the exchange since he/she claimed that they were traveling at the moment. Only to find out on board posting it was sold to someone else.
Have you ever experienced?

I have lost out on parts where I thought we had an agreement. Although it stinks that you wasted that much time trying to set up a deal and they didn't honor it, 2 weeks is far too long for negotiation.
If I want something that I see, I know now that I literally need to pick up the phone right away, and schedule to see/buy the part the first available night that works for both of you. Although you may have been the first to contact, you can't blame the seller if someone called and said meet me tonight I've got cash.

well there's always two sides to a story so it's not fair to make judgment unless the sellers' beans are spilled
but as it stands based on your story. after you guys talked about and agreed to meet up to perform the transaction -- barring any extraneous reason which could've resulted in the seller getting fed up (i.e. you not answering the phone/responding to msg's/beating the bush) -- s/he decided to sell it to someone else while leaving you in the cold (i.e. not even telling you that s/he sold it to someone else while you wasted time waiting for him/her). then that's a shady pos. and a snitch and scum and <insert name>

in that case, definitely
it's common courtesy and good etiquette to inform a buyer that somethings already sold (ignoring the fact that s/he already sold it to someone else) rather than being a dolt and acting like previous dialogue never happened
unfortunately, this kind of stuff happens commonly in society nowadays though. impersonal relationships are really hawt. so it's best to just expect the worst of most sellers and any good that comes out of it is a plus
best of luck

Most shady about this situation was. We went and withdrew the funds. Wasn't small changes either. All that work just to get some bs in the end from a dead beat seller.
