Selling my s2000 :( need some advice
I need some advice from a knowledgeable s2000 guru out there.
I have to sell my baby *cries*. I have decided it's not worth the storage fees anymore for winter, so I have decided to get rid of her.
I live in Toronto's downtown core and rarely get a chance to apreciate her speed/power/handling..
2005, All black, 50,000 KM's on it..
I have been debating between selling privately and selling to a used card dealership. I was wondering a few things before I did.
a) How much does the convertible value depend on the season? Is it too late right now? Will I lose a lot of money selling mid-august? How much?
b) How long does it normally take to sell privately? Is there a high demand for the vehicle? Or will I have to sit on her for up to a couple months?
c) If I were to sell it to a used dealership, which ones should I target?
Any advice for selling my car would be greatly apreciated.
Thank you!

biggest factor is if the car has a clean title
and if it has been in an accident or not.
A small factor is if the car is CDN or US.
From exp, for 2005, white cars will sell faster than the other avaliable colours.

Not exactly true. I've been trying to sell mine for 1 month now and half the people don't care about the color. Surprisingly, looks don't matter to a lot of people. Well, i guess in Canada people are usually dull. LOL.....

You have to expect a wait to selling a car like this, its a niche market. Second, a Dealer will give you a few grand less then what you will be able to get for It if you sell privately. On the plus side you get that money right away....

Autotrader.. Kijiji.. and Craigslist is free to post!..
Im almost 99.2% sure you'll get more money trying to sell your car rather than trading it in.. maybe 98.5%... Your price and HST will also factor in with selling your car as well as the title and citizenship..

personally i think if your car has a clean flawless title ... and if its been more than a few weeks youre priced too high
ive sold 2 s2000's now and it's always been sold within a week (maybe i'm priced too low)
I sold my 2005 with 55000km pretty much exactly a year ago for 25k

to the person who actually started this post -- i would list your car asap if you want to sell .... why lose any potential buyers?
