Later year models came with a tilt feature on the seats which mine didnt have... fit me way better, so Mikey might be onto something. If that works, it definetly would be a better solution then carying a cusion around.

Just go and get the pedals fixed so you can reach, all the books, moving the seats etc, are temporary solutions. If you get yourself all crushed up to the steering wheel to reach the pedals and the airbag goes off, you'll be in a world of hurt.
