Yeah both he and James hit stupid speeds on the back straight.
I think James peaked at 178 or 179.
I didn't get over 150 because of the friggen slowpokes slowing me down and not giving me the pass.
I mean come on now, how can I be in your line of vision for two laps, you get 2 blue flags and not let me pass!
WOMEN heh

After the first lapping session Mike came off and said he hit 180. So on my next session I tried to get there but couldn't. I probably endangered myself looking at my speedo just trying to hit that number. And then I was pretty happy coming off with 178 or so, and then Mike tells me he hit 190. Jerk.
After speaking with Mike and Vince, it appears I was braking wayyyy too early. I think I can definitely hit 190 next time. My brakes still don't feel the same come to think of it cause you have to brake really hard for the next corner.
The tricky thing was how well you came out of the hairpin leading on to the back straight. You had to get into Second, and then try to blast through without excessive understeer/oversteer. When you got it right, you could carry a lot of speed. Most times however, I didn't get it right and came out quite slow.

The only way I was getting anything off the back straight was to take it like a late late apex, and kick the back out a bit. I was always able to get my line back, but there was always someone right in front of me or right near where I had to brake before entering the esessesessses

Wow, it sounds like you guys had a blast! Cool!!!
We can talk about this, this weekend when I'm up there.
Seeing Derek was the teacher I would love to come up next year and do a school with you guys, It would really put a smile on Derek's face to see me in that classroom.
So what is the price of the school?
Was it a one-day or a two-day?
Now about the cop story, I'm speechless...

Oh yeah I'm damn sure sure I kicked the back around, one of my instructors (Kris) told me to come in on the corner real tight and push it hard on the throttle to get the end out and then wind it back in.
Coming hard off the turtles helps too
Doug next spring is likely when they'll have another, although they did say we could probably put together enough people to get a track day..its like 16 or 1800 for the day it sounded like. If we could even get 10 people we'd be laughing.
As for the Saab school, its $190 for the day...too cheap to pass up.
