Hi guys, i am geeting pissed of when i see alot a clean looking s2ks in the U.S for dirt cheap, i dont know why they are so cheap.
I got my 2002 s2000 with 42k for 31000. Then i see someting similar to my car in the US for 17500$ and thats cheap.
let me know everyone why is it that cheap.

Because Canadian prices are more? Why is just about everything cheaper? Lower corporate taxes? Less overhead? Lower cost of doing business? You tell me.

 

Know i thinkaboutt it about, its the same price if i was going to bring a car from the U.S.A to Canada, because if i where to buy it for $18,000 US, that would equal around 23000$ cnd, then you would need shipping form 500$ to 2000$ depending on the area, then you need to pay duty for the car, the duty goes by as much as you bought the car you need to pay 6% and 7% of the cost of the car since the car is made in Japan, and you have other things to pay such as inspection etc. If i got the s2k for $23,000 cnd, i would need to pay $26,000 that that dosent even inclued shipping and inspection and regesteration, and its a american car.
So you would end up paying around 30,000$.

 

yup, i think its only worth it when your buying the car brand new from the dealer then you can save a few thou for sure
