s2k vs eclipse spyder gs-t
my cus just pulled out his spyder gs-t....and calls me up and says i just raced a s2000 and kept up...i know me and i will never race him lol (lawss too tough) but i wanna know which car is faster lol do you guys know what car would be faster
here are some specs for the gs-t
its a turbo which is stock
has 200hp with i think 200 torque
5 speed
all he has done to it is intake and a after market intercooler

Having owned both cars I'd say it would be close. Definatly depends on the driver.
an Intercooler and intake adds more than you'd think to the GST the 4G63 responds very well to mods - the engine can handle all kinds of extra air flow.
1/4 mile race: The DSMs shine here. If the GST driver can keep his turbo spooled at 15psi (stock) I'd have money on him TBH. I'd say he has more than 200hp/200 torque hahahah.
At a track/Corners: The S2000 hands down.

i c but the s2000 sexy curvez make it better lol i like the eclipse i did own a 99 gs-t...you dont have to spend alot on them to increase HP the only reason i think the gs-t would keep up is because of the torque power....i will ask him to come out to a drag strip and we will settle it like that show PINKS LOL AAHHAHAHAHHAHA

Keep an eye out on what you race.... don't underestimate those DSMs. (Diamond Star Motors) They are stupid fast, and can be made fast for stupid cheap as well. They respond so well to mods.
When I was in my Eclipse, I'd laugh whenever an s2k wanted to run me (no offense but being honest) but I was heavily modified, and AWD = could beat anything at a light.... from a rolling start though thats a tougher fight.
From a rolling start you can likely beat a lightly modded GSX, or TSIAWD, there is so much drivetrain loss.
GST or TSI on the other hand....
Also if my memory serves correctly I believe the spyders are actually heavier than the coupes. The spyders have other reinforcements for safety purposes that bring them in heavier than the coupes.

My brother was running 27psi of boost in his talon AWD for a while, and wow! that this was nutz, only thing is turbo lag and quick redline, but talons/eclipses have very long gears so you still gotta watch out. but they are heavy cars and you can feel it.
