I have no idea what you guys are talking about..I have been driving around these past few weeks on s02's no issues at all...snow rain cold whatever it may be...just drive normal..and very careful.

Yes the trick is to be very carefull, I felt the ABS kick in, when it was slick and I wasn't stopping very fast or hard, just a tad icy even if it didn't look like it. I haven't had any issues though because I've been carefull not to go full out until it gets warmer.

The back end in the car likes to "wag" in the snow. With snow tires it's just on acceleration. You get used to it.
However if someone is riding your ass and you "wag" the ass around a bit they back off quickly.

fob, glad you didn't get hurt. i easily imagine the s02s to be a death trap in cold and snow if not careful.
i've driven my S through some of the crappiest days this winter on blizzak lm-22's and even with good winters you need to be extra cautious due to the nature of our cars. the S is light overall and lighter than most cars in the front due to 50/50 weight dist., to add it is a high-power RWD. some people mention in other threads that the 50/50 weight is better for cornering, which is true, but you'll find that being lighter in the front you'll tend to go over snow rather than plowing through it. so it's a double-edged sword. the worst for me were on those days of heavy snowfall having to travel at speeds much slower (about 20-30km/h) than the flow of traffic, especially on the freeway, in order to keep your car stable. you feel the pressure to go faster, but you just can't and people are passing you all the time. and when you have to make lane changes over the ruts to avoid exiting the freeway... it's definitely "exciting"
like the others said, you definitely need to know and feel when your back-end is slipping. i'm guessing your seating position and/or seat adjustment is incorrect. try, if you haven't already, sitting as flush as you can with your seat (i.e. maximize the surface area between your self and the seat) and you'll definitely notice more feedback from your car.

Reason for me not to feel a thing was that I just woke up and was paying attention to the road more than my `butt` Since the road condition was real bad.
Thanks for the input about the seat position, for sure I'll be adjusting it to get a closer feel about the car's swing at times.

i drove mine all winter on Blizzak LM22's.
I found that I could feel every little squirm, which I attributed to being seated so close to the rear wheels...unlike my old prelude.
Just take it easy, let the car tell you what its doing, and drive accordingly
