Default S02 in Snow

Started driving at the age of 16. Been driving until now for the past 7 years. This morning was the freakiest drive I've ever had...

This morning I woke up at 5am. Saw there're some snow on the ground. Thinking no biggie, my S02 should do fine. (About 0.5 inch of snow) So I drove out and head to the gas station for gas. Yep, seems doing fine. Then I headed to McDonDon for some breakfast. Yep seems ok. So when I was heading to the hwy404 on 16th ave. I started to notice the cars behind me switched lane and trying to pass me. I'm like why're all the people rushing in such weather? There're snow on the ground! Until I stopped at a red light, a lady in a jeep rolled down her window and started yelling at me: "Hey! Do you know you were going like a snake on the road? It's very scary to watch you drive like that on the road!" I didn't notice it was slippery at all. But after that lady pointed out to me. I think it's better for me to drive home and switch to my mom's car. While I was driving back, I noticed my car DOES going a little
wacky...especially when going around 20~40km/h. I don't know, it's really hard for me to describe...

Glad that I made my way back safe. The reason for me to not feel it was that slippery might because I just woke up and my reaction was still slow...Anyways, I'm gonna be in the market for a set of good snow tires for my car. Probably will buy them at the end of this summer. Anyone suggest any good ones? Who else is driving their S during winter?

s02's in the snow mean one thing DANGER
s02's in the rain mean one thing DANGER
sO2's when cold mean one thing oversteer
s02's in dry hot conditions, supremer grip

I'm surprised you didn't feel your back end "twitch"

I always adjust my seat so I can feel when my rear is end just about to break loose, then actually break loose. You may want to try adjusting it ? It worked for me.

Good Snows.. Bridgestone Blizzak LM22's, Nokia Hakkapellita's

BTW Fob...how could you not feel you backend swinging around like that?

You should really consider going to the Saab school. <--- this is NOT a flame, but a bit of advise.

They will teach you how to feel when your back end is about to slide out on you and what to do to fix it. It's THE BEST mod you could ever do to your car - learn how to drive it safely...

I've done a few track days in the rain...the SO2s are very good in the rain. The problem is temperature related....

How can you NOT feel the back end moving around because of the lack of traction?

I'm wondering this too

The other day it was a little slick (morning mist type thing) and -3 every corner I took even at 20km/h I could feel the back end twitch just a tad. It didn't slide out but I could feel it for sure.
