Are you kidding? It might prevent debris from getting in if it doesn't crumble. It might be a liablility if one of the support bars breaks and spears your head like a kabob!

Oh and don't think that any other typical hardtop cars are structurally safe either. There is a reason they still put roll cages in production-based race cars. Rollover still sucks, it might just suck a little less in a hardtop.

Damn Tim...I never thought about using my soft top as a roll bar! The soft top does cover my head!

kabob that's funny

Actually I saw a volvo XC90 on a TV show the other day flipping, the thing was mint when it came back over, Volvo makes safe cars.

I saw a dodge durango that was in a roll over on a tow truck a few weeks back the cabin didn't look too nice.
