For me, I want the Ap1, because of the headlights and tailights. I find the Ap1's headlights have more of an aggressive look to them than the Ap2's. Plus, its the Ap1 that made me love the s2k so much.

i also like the AP1 headlights more. I like the AP2 tail lights though, the LED tail lights look more contemporary

Lol, I'm surprised that the salesperson that sold you the CRV is not willing to let you test drive the S2000!!! If I were you I would tell him/her that I will NEVER EVER buy another vehicle from them nor will I give him/her a referral.

I test drove a 2007, 2005 and 2002 S2000 from a dealership here in Vancouver. I told the sales person that I was only looking and most likely would NOT buy the car from her. She insisted that I take the cars out for a spin. In fact, she called me up when they had the 2005 and 2002 in stock. She also let me drive the a used 350Z and new Si. Mind you she was the top sales at the time. I have since referred other people interested in a Honda to her.

paid 19 for mines. i recently pick up an 03 sebring. all red interior with only 18000kms for 19g. the owner who i bought the car was from barrie in his mid mature 45 (morgage broker golfs on weekend sort of guy). who bought the car off a honda dealer from the state and only has put 3000kms in the past 4 years. the car was in mint condition (new).

paid the few grand difference in kms and conditon. paid 19g with low mature kms than paid 15. 16. or as even seen 14g with high kms. no offense more than half of those cars are pretty much beaten to death s2000 on kijiji.ca. same place where i found my s2k ad. i look at 6 before making that long drive to barrie. the car was actually price for 23g. myself and the owner agreed on books pricing. and lucky i pick it up for only 19g. my experience.

as for dollors vs dollors. i definitly agree s2kobsession. if you are in the market for an ap1. better to pick one local. less paper work hassle. before buying a 17g or lower s2000 with high kms. make sure to bring it to a mechanics or 2!

Right now it wouldn't be as ideal to go buy a car in the states...
It's like 1.30 now for US money.
$19K for an 03 with less than 20K KM? IMO, I wouldn't use that as gauge as to what is right and what you should aim to spend. When I was looking, anything lower than $20K was either salvage, accident/accidents, high km's, or more than 1 or 2 owners.

Good job Guy555 for getting a kick ass price cause if I had an '03 w. 20K KM's, I def would not sell it for $19K nor would I drop my price by almost 20%.

There's always deals to be found but be weary... crooked people are everywhere! Even odometer fraud is still common these days.

BTW I think you want an AP1 because of the real reason... it's faster than an AP2
