Default Rent your s2000?

Southern Ontario Members;

I'm in the market for a used AP1, and in doing research would like to have the chance at driving one. Unfortunately, there are no rental (not even exotic rental) companies that have one or any s2000's in their fleet. Is there anybody here that would let me rent their car for an afternoon?

As strange a request that it is, serious inquires pm me here or reply to this thread.

Just a bit of background on my licence...G M2. 27yrs.

I'm not looking to boot it around and go through the gears at highway speeds, but rather see if the size is adequate for my 6'3 180lbs frame.

Thanks.

i'm 6'4" and 215. you can fit no problem.

I doubt anyone will rent you their car for the afternoon though. Best bet is to find one at a dealership and call to book a test drive appt.

s2kobsession/kwasley;

Thanks for your reply. That's good news that I'll fit no problem. I tried to book a test drive at Ready Honda a few weeks ago, when I bought my 05 CRV, but the sales person who sold me my vehicle, told me that only serious buyers are given the chance to test drive...and they had an 2005 in the showroom.

I would anticipate to expect the same from other Honda dealers.

As for kwasley and your $100/hr price...I don't know if you're serious, but I live in Mississauga as well.

I was offered 1000 for a weekend and $$ based on mileage.

Denied, if you overrev, it's going to cost you 3 times as much to repair.

But supervised is a totally different story.

Well, I managed to test drive one at a dealership before I got mine from US. But I was seriously considering the demo at the dealership, but they only offer $9000 off the demo, which was driven for 15k already when they could do $9000 off a totally new '07 anyway, what a rip off.

Going to the dealership, I doubt is going to work....as I mentioned trying to at Ready Honda, and I know that Mississauga honda doesn't have one either. Plus, because I'm in the market for an older s2000, I'd much prefer to drive an older one.

Any other supervised offers on the table? Duration would be for an hour...and as I said, no highway driving.

lol, hwy driving is probably preferred over ripping through the gears on pot hole filled city streets.

I think most people here would let you drive their car as long as their in the passenger seat. Unless you look like a bum or something...
