Default ready honda

I just called these guys for an oil change and they charge 28.80 for ANY oil change??
I asked them if they are going to use synthetic or not and he said that he uses the normal 5w-20 for all cars????

Anyhow, he was willing to use the oil that I bring with me ...
so if you want a good priced oil change, bring it to Ready honda. I'll confirm with the pricing on Wednesday as that is when my appointment is.

What kinda oil is the best bang for the buck? Mobil1?

the less your car has the "see" the dealer , the better , IMO.

I suggest you purchase a jack, jack stands, and some Mobil 1 SuperSynch and do it yourself ..

i see that simom has developed a stuttering problem......

fwiw, if you bring your own oil to the dealer, they should charge LESS than 28.80 - it's like 10 bucks labour + 2 bucks disposal.....

remember, the $28.80 has the price of regular oil included - they save the oil cost when a customer brings his/her own oil.

sure.. I only have time Sunday morning 9am - 12pm. My no. is in the members no's forum..

However, my only stipulation is that you will have to take the "bad" oil back with you and get it disposed of properly. So I normally put them back into the same containers.

Actually with the S, you don't even need jack stands. With the car on level pavement, you can quite easily reach the bolt marked oil. The oil filter can be reached from the top of the car. It's pretty easy. Try it yourself.

let's do a tech day on this... i don't know how to do it... and my car will reach 6000km soon

the only concern i have is dealership vioding your warranty by saying that you didn't have oil change done through dealership.. i don't care if i do my own oil change.. but i care if they void my warranty

ITR Racer - I have never been able to do a "clean" oil change without jacking the car up. I'm going to have to see how you do that one day ?

Fred - good idea, really easy.. i have never heard of any warranty being voided for regular service ? BS IMO.

As for the tech day thing, I could organize, but let one of the CO's organize the Tech Day. oh no.. not that dreaded word again
