Pro Bush? or Shaved?

Darren, my fingers and toes are still crossed... Bush is the worst choice for this country!
I have to say I'm flopping between despondency and apathy today because based upon the votes counted there are a lot of dumb Americans who can not see Bush is bad for so many reasons, but primarily for our economy, our international relations, not to mention the environment.

2. that's ignorant. why do you think people join the armed forces for in the first place??? they know the possibility exists that their services may be called upon.
they don't sit there and say "i'm gonna join the army, but i'm not gonna go to war".

And to think what Bush did when he was worried about being re-elected. Now he doesn't have that worry, all hell will no break loose.
Here's an interesting opinion:
I don't think the US has ever been as frightening as it is today. What
we may see today is the destruction of the oldest standing democracy on
the planet, and they're being quite flagrant about it.
The first thing to understand is that democracies fail when there is
ignorance. And the Bush-supporting American public is extremely
ignorant. A recent study indicated that 75% of Bush supporters think
that WMDs were actually found in Iraq. Similar majorities of his
supporters think Saddam engineered 9/11 and had ties with Al Qaeda.
They also think Bush supports Kyoto and the International Criminal
Court. (See "Media, Failure of.")
The second noteworthy fact is the brazen way that various state
governments are going about denying probable Kerry voters their
respective rights to vote. Registrations are being torn up or denied
based on paper weight. Lawyers are being sent to areas densely
populated with African-Americans - so as to "challenge" their voting
credentials, ostensibly to "prevent fraud". The real purpose would be
to annoy people in to not voting, or keep them lined up until after
polls close. Blacks in Florida are still denied the right to vote based
on their names sort-of-kinda-matching the names of felons. And let's
not even start talking about the Diebold Electronic Voting Machines and
Diebold's CEO's declaration to "deliver Ohio to Bush".
There is only one shining ray of light through the darkened sewage
tunnel leading to another four years of Bush administration: the fact
that the pollsters who are reporting a "dead heat" are ignoring
approximately 20 million americans. These 20 million americans only
have cell phones and cell phones don't get calls from pollsters. Cell
phone owners are generally age 18 to 29, a group that general votes
democratic.
Being Canadian, we can only hope. We've seen four years of Bush's
behaviour when he's worried about reelection. Imagine what a disaster
another four years of Bush would be when he knows he has no
responsibility at all.

This election has proven one thing to me:
There are a lot of stupid Americans.
There are a lot of stupid Americans.
The map showing the entire middle of our country as a win for Bush has brought a tear to my eye. I just can't believe millions of people spent the time to try and keep Bush IN office, I totally don't get it. And as one very wise lady pointed out to me today, our media is most likely a big part of the problem. Not very often do I get something out of the media that I believe is 100% accurate and unbiased; unfortunately too many Americans are not as skeptical...

Exactly Doug.
Where are the smartest people in the country located?
The Northeast and the West Coast. That is where the centers of industry are, that is where the financial empires are. They voted Democrat.
All the moronic rednecks who haven't been out of their state let alone the country and all the bible thumpers are the true republican strongholds. And they are quite simply, ignorant.
