I drove from Montreal to Toronto last month. I forgot what highway it was, but everyone was gunning at 85 to 95 MPH, no KPH. I guess they don't give out that many speeding tickets on that section of the road.

i just read the subject line again - it cracked me up again
there's been virtually no activity on the Toronto Forum all day - it's so pathetic that it made me laugh.

Hey at least you have your own forum area.
Just sign me off as struggling to get organized in Upstate New York.
There I feel better, I gave you guys some support!
Do you ever hear anything about the Toronto / Rochester Ferry?
I live 20 miles due South of Rochester and work downtown.
I'd love the idea of leaving work, jumping on the hydrofoil and flying over for a beer with you guys and flying home later.

I heard something about the Ferry a few months ago.
Sounded as if they were thinking about it again. Wouldn't be a bad idea to me.
Probably won't happen for years due to the issues of Sept 11th and our lackluster border procedures.
And I'm sure you'd be more than welcome to join for beer.
Hopefully the time spent on the ferry would sober you up. We have real beer up here eh?

I suspect you are correct, could be quite a while before we see the ferry, it sure would be cool though.
Sobering up as I flew across the water was one of the highlights of the plan yes. I have put my CRX-Si on a Ferry and rode across Lake Champlain once, and it was a bit of a leap of faith. I kept thinking about the ferry going down with my car on it!!!
Oh stop reminding me about the fact that your beer is so much better than ours, or even the Canadian beer that is sold over here, I'm thinking of a nice cold Bradors right about now!
Once I get the Upstate group organized I think a road trip up to Toronto could be fun!

HHH,
i'll suggest that the next toronto meet be done on a friday (if possible) - maybe that will help you get up here and join us (assuming you don't work on sat.).
nimesh
ps. been to rochester many times - have an uncle that lives there - near the Kmart/INS/Jewel plaza - it's 2 hours away (quicker in an S2K )

I don't work on Saturday and am free on Sunday, so a Saturday night get together would be great because I would be able to drive up on Saturday in the daylight, spend the night and come home on Sunday. This might also work to the benefit of another Upstate New Yorker because they might come along with me. I'm thinking I will be there in February late for the Auto Show and that might be the perfect get together!!! Thanks TKG 26. Keep me posted if something in your area comes up impromptu, because some days my schedule is very flexible, and others it is not.
Yo mindcore- are we doing a better job posting here?
You know if you did not go to bed so early you might realize there is more activity here than you thought!
