My VIN is covered 24/7.

And i wouldnt leave your car in such a vulnerable location. If you have no choice then i would highly recommend getting a decent alarm system with proxy and a good range two-way pager.

is costco that dangerous?

i often park at the queensway costco ... roof open

only for 20 minutes or so -- but i'd never think someone would steal my car

believe it or not any major store or mall has theft on a monthly basis... you just dont hear about it.

you guys have insurance.
whats to worry about?

cover your vin, get an alarm and go to sleep.
there is nothing you can do to stop theft.

i like my car, but i don't let it interfere with my life and cause me stress.
you may be in love with your car now but in 10 years you'll look back and realize how insignificant a car really is.

happy motoring!

Very true!
Met up with my aunt that's notorious for forgetting where she parks at Yorkdale.
And she said she couldnt find her car... again... only to realize it got jacked!
The security guy said it happens quite often!

I don't leave my "valuables" in my car. If it gets stolen, of course I'll be upset, but I sure as stink am not going to let thieves stop me from enjoying my car.
