My friends and I have dipped two cars this summer, The Colorado and A4 below, the coli was Red and a pain to cover, owner is 50/50 on the job, I think it looks great. The audi was silver and only took 4 coats to cover, came out great, the white is so pure, looks amazing and the total cost for 2 cars worth of paint, the gun and supplies was like $1000 or so. Worked out to be a little under $90 a gallon. It has held up well so far, we will see how winter goes.

I plasti my S into white last summer to see how white goes along with a blue top before I actually paint it white this season.
(Due to having my first child, plan changed, only driven 500km this summer, and will postpone to paintjob to next season and see how it goes.)
I didn't use a compressor with a gun. Just spray off the can directly (used lots of cans) and a major sore finger.
The outcome wasn't so bad consider I didn't use a spray gun. After a few rain and a some 200-300kms long drive last summer, it held up pretty good (don't know about winter). However, it gets dirty easily and needs cleaning often too.
Honestly, it is a cheap way to try different colors on your car other than wrapping or a permanent color change.
I wouldn't recommend it, if you want show-material. My wife hates it, so I am planning to rip it off this winter or early next spring.
From distance, it looks great. Close-up, it is half-decent IMO. Not my cup of tea in the end. But I did not regret trying it, the process was fun, and I got my purpose accomplished.
Would I do it again? No and Yes. No on my S, but Yes on a beater

I dislike the surface and the matte finish of it. But then when I am driving it, I don't see it (other than my hood), so I just disregard it and enjoy the driving experience of the car itself in general.
I went downtown (GBC) to pick up my wife and enjoyed top down the entire afternoon/evening. Fantastic experience before winter storage, and plasti-ripping in Winter/Spring
