People that don't know cars will mistake the S for something else.

This happened to me last month.

Coworker 1 pointed out to coworker 2 what my car was

Coworker 2 thought that my car was a Porsche Boxter. ( )

Coworker 1 had to point out that it was a Honda (but no clue on what the model was) -- in fact when I first told her what the model was, she thought that I got it 4 years ago (in yr. 2000) and why the "new" one wasn't call S2003

but still, personalized plates that shows the car / model is kinda ghey.

esp. the ones that get the "I love" licensed plates followed by "MYMIATA" "MY JAG" "MYBIMMER" "MY POS" etc. etc.
