We pay $74.00/year for sticker renewals. No sticker = invalid plates. The sticker is on top of the cost of the plate.

Standard plate is around $32.00, custom plate to 8 characters is $220 last time I checked. The sticker is placed on the rear plate, top right corner, and indicates the month and year of expiry (usually the birthday month of the owner of the car).
