Why not? Don't start with the "rings have to settle" myth .. not on these engines..

Go here for ALL you will ever need to know about motor oil and other lubricants..

Money, the S takes 6? litres x $7-8/L plus $8 for the filter plus labour. So I'd say $90 would be a fair price.

You can not do your first oil change before 6000 Km because they have added a special additive in the engine for the break in period. After that you can add synthetic oil no problem and Honda recommends 10w30. Your engine needs just under 5 liters not 6 liters.

BTW your first oil change is free for a normal oil change only at Honda dealers, so go buy Mobile 1 supersynch at Wallmart for 26.**$ the big bottle of 4.5 liters and bring it to them. This is what I use myself and it is very good oil...

Hehe.. there isn't nothing special about this mysterious Honda "break in" oil.. From a virgin oil analysis of the stuff it's regular 10w30 with a huge dose of Molybdenum in it.
