The year they cancelled it the car was apparently quite good.
That's exactly the problem. GM mismanage the production lifecycle every single time. The cool concept gets turn into a lame duck at intro. Then the heavy rebate begins, followed by bigger and bigger engine options. Finally they kill off the model just as they get it right.

The new Miata has been confirmed at 2400 lb, the Solstice is rumoured to be close to 3000lb? I think I know which car I want. I'd still hit the Solstice, but I wouldn't pay a penny over $22k CDN for it.

Solstice will be 2860 lbs, 25lbs more than the S2000, but will have 177hp and 166ft-lb/tq.

I suspect the solstice will be faster than a miata. It will probably start at $25k

And it still is. We autox with one and he regularly kicks our ass and gets FTD....
Ture, however, he could probably drive an Echo and still get FTD.

He's just a great driver.

If it is anything like the one at the Auto Show it will appeal to the Hair Dresser crowd only just like the Z3/Z4 and to a certain extent the Boxster !
