If you're catching flack from other managers etc. for performing duties given by your supervisor, simply make sure they are aware of why you have done these things. That you have been instructed to by your supervisor. Express surprise that they have not been notified of the "changes in the showroom", or what have you. At some point they will approach your supervisor and request greater communication from her.
But don't ever take shit that belongs to someone else! Redirect it to the responsible party. Otherwise you will not be able to live with yourself, and will only have yourself to blame.

Don't let yourself be viewed in a negative way when in reality you did exactly what you were instructed to do. The trick is, when you redirect it to the appropriate person you have to be polite. But you can not just stand there and get grief for something that is clearly not your fault!
