Noise Diagnostic

it kind of sounds like a bearing but bearings also make noise while accelerating so that must not be it. Diff or axles or prop shaft might make sense as they can be quiet when pushing forward but could get noisy once you lift throttle. Check the transmission tunnel for a grease mark/line around the area of the prop shaft CV joints if grease has been spitting out of the joints, they leave a definite grease line around them.

Drop the oil on the rear diff. If you see shavings/metallic you know something is up. The diff can be easily damaged in these cars by just doing a launch N/A or a hard enough shift.

If you have a chance I would jack up the wheels and spin them by hand to see if you feel/hear any odd noises as it spins or slows down. Do one wheel at a time, on the rear you will have to have both wheels off the ground at the same time. It might not be fast enough of a speed, but it is worth a try.

Thanks O'malley for the input. I would still be shocked if thats what it was as I dont launch the car or shift hard...even tho people tell me I should shift harder at the track haha
JFusion I will probably do that if it persists, thanks for the advice. The noise was louder the slower I was going so Im quite certain the noise should be there.

Okay. The noise is persistant so I will be bringing it to the shop next week. It seems to only start once I get up to higher speeds but if I'm just driving around the city it never starts? Its very strange.
