Default Nice option for S2000 head unit

I have been buying Chinese head units for a while now and for the most part have found them to be a very good buy for the money.

Also, they do OEM fitment and different shapes and sizes that the classic head unit companies would never dream of.

This single din head unit has a very thin screen size that makes it perfect for certain cars. Should be good for those who want navigation in a single din slot.

I'm sure you won't be winning any awards for sound quality etc but the versatility should make up for that.

In the future I would like to do 90's Civic project and this is the head unit I will go with. Have a look.

Here's my din on my other car (yes, this is actually my car if you've seen this picture before. this picture somehow gets passed around on the internet for whatever reason):

It's an android unit by a Chinese brand as well (forgot which brand). Extremely high quality and lots to play around with. I've downloaded many apps into the unit (including YouTube and Netflix where I simply just stream from my phone whenever I'm just waiting around in the car. My girlfriend also uses it to watch her shows during long car ride). I have it paired up with the back-up camera in FHD and I had coworkers/friends asked if it was an OEM option. They were all surprised to hear that it's aftermarket. People are so fast to judge when they hear it's by a Chinese brand. A lot of our electronic appliances actually come from the same Chinese manufacturer but badged under different brands.

I had a kenwood unit before this and it's not even close to being comparable. I don't find anything wrong with the sound quality. The sound quality does not really come from the din, but more so from your tweeters and woofers.

Oh nice. As I said I've had a few now. 1 for each of my wife's CRVs in the past and one for my old Accord. That year Accord actually had the climate controls build into to the radio unit, so most people thought it would be impossible to get navigation or even change your radio. That's when I saw the unit from Seicane which had a huge screen with it's own climate buttons as well as digital climate buttons too. It was plug and play and everything worked perfectly. I think I paid less that $300 too. Here is a pic.

I like the Zaku in your profile pic btw. I'm all into playing Gundam Battle Operation 2 right now... lol.

I was toying with the same Idea for my s2000 but I ultimately went with a period correct Alpine from the late 2000's with Bluetooth hands free.
I dont know... I feel like classic/oem+ looking is the way to go in these cars.
Nice recommendation, none the less.

Here is an option from Sony. Pretty cool for those who wanted a more 2din style.

This. Bought an Alpine deck from another s2k Whatsapp member with handsfree phone and Bluetooth. Door closes perfectly.

Love Alpine. My last deck from early 2000s lasted 10 years and probably still works perfect.

Also bought the modifry wiring hardness and DCI for steeri g wheel controls. Best purchase ever made install easy and painless. Even though it cost more than the deck did lol

Is it the UTE73BT? I have that one and *just* clears the door where the button is. Sound is okay, but I think the speakers are the weak point. Doesn't phase me much because the engine drowns it out anyway

143BT.
It fits perfectly. The OEM speakers esp in my early AP1 are trash. It's difficult to output a good sound system with only two small door speakers.

There is a Facebook group for this unit and the guy who is developing them. He's also considering a raffle for one too.
The radio is modified from factory to work with approval and full warranty from sony.
