I have not checked it over but it will be part of the contract to have it professionally checked out if I do agree. Service records are available and the car has only ever been serviced at the dealership. I still have a lien on my current vehicle so the $21 K is the price after trade in. The amount he is offering me for my car is exactly the amount I owe so the full amount of $21 K will be loaned and paid accordingly (or that is the plan anyway).
I was unsure whether I have the ability to negotiate in a warranty since this is a 2003 vehicle. Even if I do, the dealership is so far away that it would be useless to me unless they can some how get the vehicle Honda certified. That of course is probably not a viable option, again, because of the age of the car.
I was looking at all the changes throughout the model years and I myself like the MY03 the best. It seems like more of a drivers car which is what I truly want.

Does anyone know any S2000 specific mechanics in the GTA who are reasonably priced to have a vehicle inspection done at? I was looking for a compression test and a full vehicle check over.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I took the day off work today to check out the car once again and have it checked out by a third party mechanic. After picking up the car from the dealership, I noticed on the drive to the mechanics a humming from the left rear tire. My suspicions of a busted wheel bearing were confirmed by the mechanic report but other than that, the car is healthy and ready to run.
I signed the papers today with the dealership and should be picking up my new S in two weeks (May 20th). SUPER excited! I can't get over how SHORT the throws actually are on the S. It feels so strange yet so crisp. I love it. lol.

Sorry to disappoint on the colour guys. Trust me, silver wasn't my first choice either but the colour choice wasn't at the top of the priority list! I love the car and it gets nothing but looks and compliments from people every where I go. I can't believe the attention it gets really...or maybe it's just my stunning good looks. Hard to say really.
