Water runs off the hood through a drainage hole near the fender directly onto the filter.
The bypass valve negates the 2whp you'll gain from the aem intake in the first place... That's why I said to get a different intake system.

You do not want the AEM angled up. This is how most hydrolocks happen, it builds up water in the elbow and when you start your car it's game over.

You want it straight or even pointing down slightly to avoid and water build-up.

Or go with a Comptech/FIPK, less headaches but doesn't sound as aggressive as AEM

Oh so the comptech and fipk have some sort of anti water thing?
The filters are located under the hood where they can stay dry
