Narrowing down my search for an s2k.

I would personally go for the first option ... the one listed on the 1st post from autotrader. I would stay away from rebuilt titles, as they could be tricky to insure, and also stay away from dealers because they are better at hiding things that are wrong with the car.
On a different note, I just picked up an AP1 this week with 47K and less than what these cars are going for even after paying the tax at MTO. So, if you are not desperate to get a car right away, you can wait, and the right one will eventually be for sale.

If anyone is curious the seller agreed to sell me his car when his Q5 comes in. Sebring silver 2004 94kkm. Completly stock, except tires and maybe air filter. He has mentioned TCT noise. Infact while researching it, I saw him post in the s2ki thread about billman's tct.

I was going to make the trip to see the car, but I purchased mine the day before.

I know my insurance company would not offer me collision coverage on a vehicle that had a "rebuilt" title. PM evolution, he has a clean title car for sale within your price range. IMO I wouldn't buy one from a dealer, you never get the full story. Purchase it off another member if you can.

Well, the trip was well worth it. The car is in mint condition.
What did you end up getting, if you don't mind me asking?

I frankly miss my SSM. I find it to be the most sophisicated of all S2K colours. I currently have an NFR and although I love it, I still think the SSM is the nicest for this shape. Frankly, I find the flat colours take away from the S2Ks lines. I think the metallic colours looks best on this car. Just my opinion so to the guy who bought the SSm, congrats! I do miss mine.
