3 model years or older, a 2000 would have been done LAST year. I had a 2000 tiburon I had to do last year. That's 3 e-tests in 2 years for me!

Obviously if you already did it then you don't have to do it again.

Jason didn't have to do it unless he bought it after Feb '04 the drive-clean is good for 1 year. He should have been able to use your drive-clean that you did in Feb '03 when he bought it.

That's the issue I'm dealing with now with my subaru, I bought it in Oct it's a '93 I did the drive clean. My b-day is in June so I renew in June, they said I need another drive-clean to get on schedule. That's B.S. it says right on the form it's good for 1 YEAR, Oct to June is not 1 year!

If they won't let me renew my plates until I get a drive clean I'll just drive my subaru until October with expired plates and I'll get the drive-clean then. I'll probably never drive it anyways since I'll be driving my S.

I wonder if I should just not renew my plates on my subaru until November when I drive it again, take insurance off the entire deal save a few $$$'s. Only pain is then when I renew I will most definetely need another drive-clean unless I renew before oct... HMMMMM

I thought if it was a new ownership, like any used vehicle needs a safety, it also needs a drive clean....

I dind't have to do the drive clean again. Nimesh you couldn't find the origional paper of the one you did. That's why it had to be done again.

who cares about the "paper"??

the MTO punches in the serial number of the cert.

which in turn, is logged with the date of the test.
